Helen Viola Butler

Helen Viola Butler, 83, of Petersburg, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018. Born in Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late Louis Englehart and Bessie Moore Englehart. She was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Butler; son, George H. Butler; grandson, Adam Butler; and baby sister, Alease. Helen is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Hicks (Alvin); son, James Butler, Sr. (Susan); grandchildren, Tammy Craig (Tony), Jimmy Hicks (Christen), Kimberly Cannada (Chad), James Butler, Jr. (Cindy), Randy Butler, Bryan Butler (Leilani); 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Peterson and Annamae Posenau; brothers, William Englehart and Junior Englehart; Vickie Butler, who was like a daughter to her; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
