Helen Odell Fleming

Helen Odell Fleming, 99, of Hopewell, VA passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. Born in Corning, Iowa she was the daughter of the late Harry Homer and Elizabeth Margaret McBain Odell; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Don J. Fleming; her son, Creighton W. Fleming; and 5 brothers and sisters. Mrs. Fleming was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Colonial Heights, VA. She was an avid golfer until late in life and had worked for the Bermuda Golf Course. She was a member of the Hopewell Community Center where she enjoyed taking trips and swimming. Mrs. Fleming is survived by three daughters, Christie Tuttle and husband, Tom, Cindy Santos and husband, Lou and Corinne Kirkland and husband, Ron; eleven grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018 at St. Ann Catholic Church with Fr. Danny Cogut, celebrant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at a later date in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska.
