Helen Gutierrez

Helen Abbie Gutierrez, age 70, of Colonial Heights, VA left this world to live with the angels Monday, January 23, 2006. She retired from Civil Service, where she worked in finance. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Rosita Sandoval, and was born in Roy, New Mexico. Helen loved her family more than anything and was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Retired MSG Francisco Gutierrez and three children, Jacqueline Gutierrez Moxley and husband David, of Hopewell, VA, Stanley K. Gutierrez of Deer Park, TX and SSG Guy T. Gutierrez and wife Robin, of Colonial Heights. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Frank Gutierrez of Hopewell, Dakota, Diego, and Abbie Gutierrez, all of Colonial Heights; two sisters, Sarah Garcia of Albuquerque, NM, and Rose Arellano of Pueblo, CO; five Brothers, Alfred Sandoval of Oceanside, CA, Sambran Sandoval and Albert Sandoval of Pueblo, CO, Joe Sandoval of Grand Terrace, CA, and Edward Sandoval of Mesa, AZ. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Chesterfield on Friday, January 27, at 6:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
