Helen Jarrell

Helen Kratochvil Jarrell, age 78, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2008. Born in Prince George, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. Sr. and Lydia Schredl Kratochvil. Mrs. Jarrell was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a retired RN nurse of 33 years for the Petersburg Eye Center. Mrs. Jarrell was a member of St. Josephâ??s Catholic Church for approximately 45 years, and was also a member of St. Annâ??s Catholic Church for 33 years. She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 33 years, R.J. â??Jackâ? Jarrell; son, Guy B. Rose, III and wife Carmen, of Chesterfield, VA; grandchildren, Kyle B. Rose and Kristal L. Rose-Gonzalez; step-grandson, Jacob C. Johnson and great grandchildren, Kara Rose, and Julian Johnson; step-children, Michael D. Jarrell and wife Tammy, of Prince George, Marshall W. Jarrell and wife Terri, Jack Jarrell and wife Misty, both of Colonial Heights, Barbara Y. Dickey and husband Jeff of Prince George, Beverly A. Vaughan and husband Bobby, of Sutherland, VA; sister, Marie K. Leddy and husband Barney, of Petersburg; 10 step-grandchildren; and1 step-great-grandchild. Mrs. Jarrell was preceded in death by her cat Callie, and is survived by her cats, Patches, Silver, and Boo, which she dearly loved. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, May 18, 2008 from 3 to 5 p.m. Funeral services will follow on Monday, May 19, at 11 a.m. in St. Annâ??s Catholic Church, with interment in Sunset Memorial Park.
