Helen Southall

Helen OKun Southall, 90, of Petersburg, widow of Harold â??Fatsâ? Vaughan Southall, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Born June 20, 1920 in Woodville, Texas she was one of twelve children of the late August Frederick and Clara Dora Buck OKun. She was a member of the Kenwood United Methodist Church. She is survived by two children, Linda Southall McCann and husband, Herbert, Henry Earl Southall and wife, Christa; six grandchildren, Herbert â??Bertâ? Lee McCann, III and wife, Rebecca, Robyn McCann Livesay, Arline â??Bethâ? McCann Smith and husband, Ronald, Roger Howard Southall and wife, Tammy, David Vaughan Southall, and Kristin Southall Hunter and husband, Daniel; nine great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, James and Henry OKun; sister, Jean OKun Wheat; special friends, Phyllis Church Morris and Al Medlin, numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2010 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with the Rev. Pam Seeley officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Blandford Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
