Helen Delores Gadow Stone entered this world on June 14, 1942. She went to heaven a fightin’ on March 13, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was an amazing woman who showered everyone she met with love and light. Even when she was fighting for her life, she was the one who made her family laugh. She was predeceased by her parents, Leonard E. and Laura Prahl Gadow, a brother Leonard A. Gadow, and newborn twin sisters. When she obtained her wings, she left behind her husband of over 53 years, Frederick L. Stone, her daughter, Teresa Stone Sensibaugh and son in law John, and the light of her life; her grandson, Justin F. W. Brown (Julianne), and “new” grandsons, Nick and Daniel Sensibaugh; along with her siblings, Bonnie G. Wooters (Howard “Junior”), Wayne Gadow (Sandy), Joan G. Glime (William) and Donald Gadow (Glynda), and their children. In her 73 years of life she adopted countless children who considered her their second mother, along with a host of honorary grandchildren. She was also a “sister” to many.Helen was born in Cambridge Maryland and worked hard her entire life. After she graduated she moved to Washington D.C. where she eventually ended up starting her career at the National Education Association and here she met and married the love of her life, Fred. They settled in Seabrook Maryland and retiring to Crestview then Lake City, FL. Helen loved with her whole heart and was so loved by every heart she touched. She was a talented artist and an amazing wife, mother, Grammy, sister and friend. Cancer may have thought it beat her… but she beat it when she arrived in heaven to receive her wings.
