Helen Straub

Helen Blofeld Straub, 85, of Hopewell, passed away Friday, April 30, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Cecil L. and Elizabeth Ludat Blofeld and was also predeceased by husband, Warren Straub, five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by daughters, Kathryn â??Kayeâ? Holcomb of Hopewell, Laura Rhodes of Renick WV; son, Jim. Simms and wife Kathy of Carrollton, VA; step daughters, Andie Wilson, Amy Straub; grandchildren, Angela Powroznick and husband Mark, Laura Layman and husband David, Kenneth McCue, Kathryn Rhodes, Matt Simms; step grandchildren, Edwin Creech, Warren Creech and Melissa Wilson; six great grandchildren; sisters, Edith Holcomb, Frances Smith and Barbara McClung.. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 3, 2010 at the Hopewell chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funereal Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Appomattox Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judeâ??s Childrenâ??s Hospital, 501 St. Judeâ??s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
