Helen means “Bright, shining light”. Our Helen was also affectionately known as “Nanny” to almost everyone and Aunt Piggy to her nephews and nieces. She loved children immensely. In addition to raising her three sons, she was a big, loving part of the lives of her grandsons and anyone else that her boys brought into the fold of the family. She was the loving matriarch of a family full of men, dispensing love, affection, advice, hugs and kisses and warm meals. She will be missed terribly. A service celebrating the lives of Helen and Kyle will be held at West End Assembly of God, 401 N. Parham Rd, Richmond, VA 23229, on Saturday, December 17th at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to West End Assembly of God or Masonic Home of Virginia, PO Box 7866, Henrico, VA 23231.
