Helen Whitmore

Helen Louise Howerton Whitmore, 77, of Baltimore, MD, widow of Lester Claiborne Whitmore, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2007. Born in Petersburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late E. Preston and Marie Cornett Howerton. She was a longtime resident of Lancaster, PA, where she was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a retired Trust Officer with Wachovia Bank. Helen relocated to Baltimore, MD four years ago to live with her daughters. Mrs. Whitmore is survived by her daughters, Linda Whitmore and Vicki Allen and her husband, Jay in Baltimore, MD. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
