Henrietta, Lanier

Henrietta Rebecca Lanier, 76, of Surry, died Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at John Randolph Medical Center. She was born in Petersburg and was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Homer Sr. and Frances Tench Lanier, sisters, Kathleen L. Dunn and Frances L. Pegram and brothers Robert Homer Lanier and J. Sidney Lanier. She was a graduate of Petersburg High School, received her Bachelor degree from James Madison University and was a retired commander in the U.S. Navy. She is survived by two brothers, Charles E. Lanier and Winfield W. Lanier, sisters, Martha L. Hinton and Mary L. Covington and numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside service will be held at 11AM Friday, February 18, 2005 in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.
