Henry Joseph Daniel

Henry Joseph Daniel, 75, of Hopewell, VA, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018. Born in Prince George County, he was one of five children born to the late George Elmer and Helen Marie Daniel. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 31 years of service, and was an active member and Deacon at Bible Baptist Church in Hopewell. He loved riding his motorcycle and enjoyed fixing things. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Daniel and Elmer Daniel. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gail Daniel; daughter, Silvia Daniel; sons, David Daniel (Cathy) and Chris Daniel; grandchildren, Jonathan Guy, William Nixon, Dwayne Nixon, Bobby Nixon, John Ryan, and Colleen Ryan; great-grandchildren, Logan, Bailey, Bradon, Riley, Kyley, Violet, and Haley; and his sisters, Betty Lucy and Helen May (Larry). The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2018 at the funeral home with Pastor Sinclair Rowe officiating. Interment will follow at Bermuda Memorial Park.
