Henry Ernest Mcgee Jr.

Henry Ernest McGee Jr., 83 of Hopewell, went to be with his Lord on Monday May 11, 2015 following an extended illness. Henry was born in Chesterfield County on October 27, 1932. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Henry retired from Hercules INC. as a millwright after 30 plus years of service. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Prince George, VA. Henry is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Ernest McGee Sr. and Marie Toth McGee; sister, Dorothy Fitzgerald. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Doris Almarode McGee; son, Henry McGee III; daughter, Deborah McGee; granddaughter, Rachael McGee; great-granddaughter, Kylie McGee; nephews, Johnny Johnson, Spencer Fitzgerald; niece, Cindy Farmer; several other nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday May 14, 2015 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with the family receiving friends one hour prior. Interment to follow in Appomattox Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project 827 Plumosa Ave, Vista CA 92081.
