Henry Norford

Norford, Henry Raymond "Ray", 87, of Carson, VA, was called home on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Marion "Mary" Norford; his children, Chip Norford (Ann), Scott Norford, Mary Leslie Norford (Liz Johnson), Kathy Fletcher (Vernon); his grandchildren, Justin Sizemore (Bethany), Meaghan N. Clements (Drew), Brent Norford, Cameron Sizemore (Autumn); five great-grandsons, Blake Sizemore, Carter Sizemore, Landon Harris, Carson Sizemore and Chip P Clements; one sister, Elizabeth Yeatts. Ray was also loved by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and his church family.
Ray proudly served in the United States Navy 1956-1960. He retired from Reynolds Metals after 39 years, as a printing press operator. He was a proud and cherished member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
Always ready with a joke or a story, a hug and a smile, a positive word and unconditional love; he will be greatly missed and forever loved by all who were blessed to have known him.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd, where funeral services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 1:00 pm, with burial to follow at 3:00 pm, at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Dr. Sandston, VA 23150.
