Henry Pruett

Henry Wiseman Pruett Jr., 67, of Hopewell, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011. He was retired from Allied Signal after twenty-seven years of service. Mr. Pruett was also a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He loved going to Las Vegas and playing poker with his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Wiseman Pruett Sr. and Mary Butor Pruett; and sisters, Mary Ann Watts and Henrietta McDaniel. He is survived by his sons, Phillip Paul Pruett and wife Gayle, Michael Newman Pruett, Donald Glenn Pruett and wife Angela; grandchildren, Paige, Glenn, Amanda, Bubba, Jeremiah; a sister, Margaret Bear; a brother, Edward J. Pruett and wife Ellen; his loving companion, Patsy Ellis; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2011 at the Hopewell chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Disabled American Veterans, DAV Memorial Program P.O.
