Henry Story, 85, of Petersburg passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012. He was the son of the late Payton and Mary Thomas Story and predeceased by his wife Margie Dewell Story. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Navy and a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans. He was a Bond Bread Salesman for 15 years, before retiring as a US Customs Warehouse Officer from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corporation. He also partnered at The Bargain Corner Antique Shop in Disputanta for 35 years. He enjoyed collecting antiques, civil war artifacts, as well as hunting and fishing. He was a member of St. Marks Methodist Church for over 45 years. He is survived by two sons, Perry Wayne Story and wife, Barbara and Thomas Keith Story both of Colonial Heights; five grandchildren, Rodney Wayne Story and wife, Martha, Ryan Lee Story, Robert Henry Story, Sabrina RaeAnn Story, and Carly Rene Story; one great-grandchild, Madison Leigh Story. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, May 11, 2012 in the mausoleum at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Hospice of Virginia especially Joyce and Linda.
