Herbert Jackson Hamilton, Jr.

Herbert Jackson Hamilton, Jr., passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022. Born in Petersburg, VA, December 4, 1966. Son of Estelle B. Sutton, David M. Sutton, and Herbert J. Hamilton, Sr.; he was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Hamilton, Sr.; uncle, David L. Bailey; grandmother, Susie Bailey; and father, David M. Sutton.
He graduated from Dinwiddie High School in 1985 and from Newport News Shipyard Electrical Apprenticeship in 1989. He opened Dinwiddie Sporting Goods in 1991 which later transitioned to Five Forks Firearms.
In 1985, he married Barbara Lancaster. They made their home in Dinwiddie where they raised three daughters. He was well-liked in the community and enjoyed being an outdoorsman, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his mother, Estelle Sutton; wife, Barbara; daughters, Becky, Kelly, and Ashley; brother, Michael (Kim); nephew, Ryan; four legged guard dog, Bear; and feline friend, Beau.
