Herbert Owen

Herbert H. Owen, Sr., 82, of Colonial Heights, VA, passed away October 2, 2011. He was the son of the late Lacy Banks and Susie Harwell Owen, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanette Solomon Owen. He is survived by his devoted wife Doris Owen; children, Michael A. Owen and wife Carol, Harold Owen, Jr and wife Jackie, Myrtis Owen McClung and husband Larry, James M. Owen and wife Sandra; step-children, Diana Wiggam and husband Gary, Dennis Mee and wife Kathy, Catherine Crowder and husband Bo; four brothers; one sister; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Owen was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. The family will receive friends at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home Chester Chapel, Tuesday October 4th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 5th with Rev.
