Herbert Wells

Herbert Hamilton ?Bubba? Wells, 85, of Dinwiddie County, departed from this life on October 5, 2005 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis L. and Effie L. Wells, and one daughter, Barbara Jean Wells. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. wells attended Monumental Baptist Church and was retired from John A. Gill Wholesale Grocery. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret Alise Wells; a grandson, Rodney F. Herbert; three great-grandsons, Buck Herbert, Keith Herbert, and Ryan Herbert; two great-great-grandchildren, Tyler and Emily Herbert; two sisters, Mary Lewis and Thelma Duda; two nieces, Donna McFarland and Judy Bowles. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Friday, October 7, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 3 PM Saturday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Barry Ginn officiating. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg.
