Hester Thomas Whitt Jr.

Hester “Tommy” Thomas Whitt, Jr., 62, of McKenney, VA passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017. Born in Granville County, NC he was the son of the late Hester Thomas Sr. and Lorene Ray Whitt. Mr. Whitt loved his church, Grace Baptist Church, and especially loved his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Patricia Whitt; his daughter, Natalie Whitt Muniz and husband, Thomas; two grandsons, Ryan Thomas Muniz and Justin Anthony Muniz; a sister, Annette Hughes and husband, Vernon; one brother, Ted Whitt; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church, 23814 River Rd., N. Dinwiddie, VA 23803, with the Rev. Raleigh Nunnally, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Creedmoor Cemetery, in Creedmoor, NC. Flowers are welcome or contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church in memory of Tommy.
