Hilda Ford

Hilda Arbeth Newsom Ford, 88, of Petersburg, widow of Walter Randolph Ford, died Monday, April 18, 2005 at Colonial Heights Health Care Center. She was born in Petersburg and was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Noyes and Mary Lee Poarch Newsom and a son, Gene F. Wade, Sr. She was retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Co. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Glenda F. and Leonard E. Brown of Chester; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Maynard ?Skip? and Kathy Alexander III, Tracey D. Alexander, Stephany M. Brown, Gene and Tina Wade, Jr., Vicki and Bruce Berry, Tammie and Jimmy Cotter and Mary and Robert Rickman; nine great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces including Rosalie Lewis. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Dr. Ivan Perkinson officiating.
