Hilda Riggan Miller, 76, of Loudoun County, VA, died January 16, 2023. Hilda was born in Hopewell, VA, on February 7, 1946, the daughter of the late Sentral Piner Riggan Gravely and the late Bedford Brown Riggan, Sr. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a graduate of Hopewell High School, Class of 1964. She worked for many years at Flowerdew Hundred Plantation and was a founder of the Prince George County Heritage Fair. In addition to raising three daughters as a single mother, she studied abroad, graduated from college with a degree in Art History, and traveled to many places around the world. She never stopped pursuing knowledge and studying family history. She adored her grandchildren and her annual Nags Head vacations. She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Miller, daughters, Tara Bonds, Dawn Kramer (Amy Pallett), and Anna Muzzy (Matthew Muzzy), stepdaughter, Tami Miller Scheiwiller (Michael Scheiwiller), eight grandchildren: Dasha, Derris, Rhiannon, Allie, Zach, Bedford, Elizabeth, and Ashby, three great-grandchildren, a brother, Bedford (Biff) B. Riggan, Jr., a sister, Martha (Marty) Moran, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens in Prince George County, VA.
