Hilda Roberta Straccioni

Hilda Roberta Straccioni, 87, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023, after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dino and Catherine Straccioni; sisters, Angela S. Perrin and Mary S. Esposito; and loving brothers-in-law, Cecil E. Perrin and Mario F. Esposito.

She is survived by her sister, Michelle L. Straccioni; niece, Toni P. Lunsford; nephews, Cary B. Lunsford and Mark M. Esposito (Suzanne); niece, Autumn E. Bedwell (Piers Henschel). Other surviving relatives include, Dino F. Lunsford and his son, Tucker; Dina M. Lunsford and her son, Dylan; Autumn's children, Mary Katherine and Erika; as well as, Mark's children, David and Mark.

Hilda will always be remembered from Virginia Meat Market, where she owned and operated the store for many years after her parents passing. Everyone that knew her loved her, as she always wore a smile and never met a stranger.

Hilda attended St. James School and later Hopewell High School, where she graduated in 1954. She was chosen as "Miss Kaleidoscope" her senior year.

Hilda will be missed by everyone who knew her, especially her family and loving friends.

A mass will be held Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 11:00 am, to honor her life, at St. James Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to St. James Church in Hopewell or American Cancer Society in honor of her niece, Dina, who is currently undergoing treatment.
