Hillery Sturgille

Mr. Hillery Kenneth “Ken” Sturgille, 82, of Dinwiddie County, died peacefully on Sunday May 2, 2004. He was a native of Scott County, Virginia and the son of the late, Lewis and Minie Robinette Sturgille. He was a retired Master Sergeant from the United States Army. Mr. Sturgille, upon retiring from the army, worked at Fort Lee and retired from civil service after a number of years. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason. Mr. Sturgille is survived by his wife, Charlie Puryear Herndon Sturgille, one son and daughter in-law, Michael K. Sturgille and Magda, three daughters, Christi Dalrymple, June Zapach and husband Dan, and Virginia Greene, and husband, Gene, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday May 4, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. in the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Harvey Skinner pastor of Elm Street Baptist Church officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Southlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
