Homer Sr. Gurganus

Homer L. Gurganus Sr. 64 of Waverly passed away on February 24, 2012. He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Gurganus; and his brother, Danny Gurganus.
Mr. Gurganus served his country proudly in the Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He had a love for classic cars, his large hat collection, sitting on his front porch, and spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Gurganus is survived by his son, Homer L. Gurganus Jr.; grandchildren, Brandon, Stephen, Austin, Kevin, Zachary; mother, Edna Tanner Gurganus; brother, Kenneth Gurganus; sister, Peggy Nicholson; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday February 28, 2012 at the Wakefield Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
