Howard Keene â??Huckâ? Butterworth of Dinwiddie, passed away May 2, 2007. Huck was born in Brunswick Co., VA on November 12, 1912 and was the son of the late William Barner Butterworth, Sr. and Margaret Rebekah Rives. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Anne Hayes Butterworth and eight siblings. He was a tobacco warehouseman, a salesman for W.R. Grace Agricultural Products, director of farm surveys in Dinwiddie County and was on the board of Directors of The Farmers Bank of Dinwiddie, which became the Bank of Virginia and then later Signet Bank. In 1973, he received an award in appreciation from the Bank of Virginia for his outstanding performance for the Business Development Program. He was a lifetime member of Calvary Episcopal Church and Old Hickory Hunt Club. The family wishes to express their thanks to all of the caregivers who helped Huck throughout his difficult time of life and want to give special thanks to one special caregiver, Patricia Jones for 43 years of continuous unselfish service to the family. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday May 5, 2007 at the Butterworth Family Cemetery, Butterworth, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Calvary Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 103, Dinwiddie, VA 23841. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.
