Howard “Jim” Beldin, 66, of Chesterfield, passed away on January 27, 2014. Born in Ashville, PA, he was the son of Adelaide and the late John E. Beldin. Jim was retired from AT&T after 30 years of service. He volunteered at the Petersburg National Battlefield for six years and before that had served as an auxiliary police officer in Suffolk, VA. Jim is survived by his four daughters, Jeanette Beldin, Christine Wetherbee and husband, Jeff, Elaine Ward and husband, Shawn, and Cheryl Zeh and husband, Jason; nine grandchildren, T.J., Jonathan, Cliff, Will, Emily, Jacob, Emma, Luke and Allison; his mother, Adelaide Beldin; one brother, Kenneth Beldin and wife, Shirley; his sister, Dianne Kaczor and husband, Joseph; special friend, Donna Freeman; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 159 Hickory St., Ashville, PA 16613.
