Hughie Daniel Blackburn, Sr.

Hughie Daniel Blackburn Sr., 86, of Chester, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Sarah Wells Blackburn; son, David Blackburn; grandson, Joshua Blackburn; two brothers; and a sister. Hughie was a member of Thrive Church for over 60 years where he grew to have a strong Christian faith in which you saw in him every day. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Evelyn Blackburn; sons, Danny Blackburn (Linda), Carlton Blackburn, Dale Blackburn, Ronald Blackburn; grandchildren, Nikki (Charlie), Daniel (Dana), DeAnn (Sam), Quinn; great-grandchildren, Lily, Marley, Christian; brother, Douglas Blackburn (Ruthie); sister, Marie Simmons. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
