Hunter Bland Hamill

Hunter Scott Bland Hamill of Colonial Heights, passed away on June 30, 2018. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Nelson Hamill; parents, Pattie Grant Bland and Joseph Cleveland Bland; a sister, Jean Bland Stallings; and a brother, Joseph G. Bland. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Petersburg, and a retired Fort Lee Civil Servant, having worked there for 34 years. She is survived by a sister, Ann Bland Cunningham of Hopewell VA; two brothers, John W. Bland of Petersburg VA, and James M. Bland of Dinwiddie VA; and many nieces and nephews. A service will be held at 11am on Friday, July 6, at the Dinwiddie Chapel of the JT Morriss & Son Funeral Home, where a visitation will be held an hour before service. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity UMC, 215 S Sycamore St, Petersburg, VA 23803 or Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S Crater Rd.
