Leroy Charles Crutchfield, II, of Carson left this world and joined his son, Colby, in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at his new home in heaven on Thursday, April 16, 2009. Also known by his friends and family as Charlie or â??Crutchâ?, he loved the simple things in life. He loved music, NASCAR, riding his Harley and Elvis. He was employed by Carolina Container as a truck driver and had previously worked at Honeywell and Foodlion Distribution. He was predeceased by his son, Colby and his father Leroy Charles Crutchfield, I. He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Nola Ann Crutchfield; his son Zachary, whom he was very proud of; his devoted best friend Mark â??JRâ? Adkins, all of Carson; his mother, Lillian McKissack and stepfather, Bill of Baymonet, AL; his step-children, Tabitha Tuttle of Georgia, Joseph Gaskey of Lynchburg, and Jessica Wood of Bedford; his brother, Johnny Crutchfield of Baymonet, AL; his sister Beverly Ragland and brother-in-law Barry of Palm Springs, FL; and the mother of his children and friend, Hope Crutchfield. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Sunday, April 19th from 2 to 5 pm. A memorial service will be held at his home, 3494 Carson Hills Lane, at 1 pm on Saturday, April 25th with a memorial ride to follow that will begin at the home and travel to Fields United Methodist Church, Sullivan Rd, Boydton, and then back to Carson.
