Indukumar Manubhai Patel

Indukumar Manubhai Patel, 69, of Petersburg, Va. passed away on Wednesday October 24, 2012. Born in Kantharia, India, he was the son of the late Manubhai and Ganghaben Patel. Indubhai left his beloved family in India and arrived to America in 1968 to further his studies in the field of chemical engineering at Indiana State University. It was after a few years of successful employment after which Indubhai pursued the American dream. In 1978, Indubhai went into the hotel/motel industry resulting in a successful 35 years as a self-employed businessman. Indubhai’s greatest accomplishments were his commitment to all of his family, friends and community. Indubhai was a father and mentor figure to the many people that he touched and this and many other incredible attributes will be what is most remember about him. Indubhai is survived by his loving wife, Madhuben Patel; two sons, Niraj Patel and wife, Ankita and Amir Patel and wife, Kamal; and numerous other special family and friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Sunday October 28, 2012 at the North Parham Road Chapel of Woody Funeral Home. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
