Inez Lougene Heretick

Inez Lougene Heretick, of Hopewell, VA passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018, following an extended illness. She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Stephen and Stephanie Heretick, and their son, Stephenson of Portsmouth, VA, Mary Alice Heretick and her daughter, Virginia LiRoon “Gigi” Falls Church, VA and Richard and Lisa Heretick of Hopewell, VA. Inez is preceded in death by her husband, Emil Heretick; her parents, Virginia and Edward T. Mosher, Sr.; and her brother, Edward T. Mosher, Jr. Inez is a 1948 graduate of Hopewell High School and was employed for many years as the manager of Hopewell Heights Apartments. A lifelong member of St. James Catholic Church in Hopewell, Inez was a devoted and highly dedicated mother, and a tireless caregiver for her parents and her husband during their illnesses. Inez loved to travel, and took many cruises with her best friend, Elaine Balderson of Tappahannock, Virginia, whose sons Trente and Troy she always considered as her own. Inez will be remembered for the strength of her convictions, for her love and support for her family and friends, and for her tenacious independence until the very last days of her life. The family wishes to express their special appreciation to her caregivers, Iola Morton and Brenda Bland, for her neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Powers, and for her physicians, Dr. Agha Haider and Dr. Christopher Miller. A rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at St. James Catholic Church, Hopewell, VA. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Petersburg, VA.
