KING, Inez Cain, 90, of Carson, Va. died April 29, 2008, after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ryland King in 1997. Born in SC to Wade and Bessie Cain on Feb. 11, 1918, she moved to Hopewell at a young age. She and Ryland eloped to S.C. when she was only 16 and they were married for 63 years at his death. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Simmons and husband, Chuck, of Carson. Also surviving is her "son by choice", Jimmy Cox and wife, Vivian, of Powhatan, Va. Grandchildren include Tiffany Caul and husband, Mike, of Prince George; Adrienne Eisner and boyfriend, JP of Carson; Nicholas Eisner of Carson; Valarie Ayers and husband, Jack, of Powhatan; Veanne Cox of New York City and Vanita Mattson and husband, Rick, of Warrenton, Va. Seven grandchildren include; Alexis and Alijah Caul, Brandon and Travis Ayers, Langley, Orlea and Waverly Mattson. She is also survived by a brother, Marion Cain, of Richmond. Inez was a long time member of Salem Methodist Church and the Stony Creek Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the Carson Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for many years. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at J. T. Morris and Son Funeral Home, Wythe & S. Adams St., Petersburg, Va. Funeral services will be at Salem Methodist Church, Carson, Va., on Thursday, May 1, at 11 a.m.
