Inez Thompson

Inez Bottoms Thompson, 88, of Petersburg, VA, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023. She preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Thompson; and her parents, Bloumey and Ella Bottoms. Inez is survived by her daughter, Lois Ebright and husband, Kenny; son, Jimmy Thompson and wife, Lisa; very special granddaughter, Jessy Masingale and husband, Carl; and one great-granddaughter, Elliana Masingale. Inez loved birds and feeding them, she also loved the outdoors. She loved cooking for her family and friends. Inez was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt to her special niece, Lynn Cody and husband, Jeff. She was a lifetime member of Oaklawn Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Legency for their love and support in their care giving services. The family will receive friends Friday, November 24, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Chester Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel with Pastor Wayne Williams officiating. Interment will take place in Crestview Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Inez can be made to Oaklawn Baptist Church 7925 Hickory Road, Petersburg, VA 23803.
