Ione Lorraine Quipp Grizzard Lowder

Ione Lorraine Quipp Grizzard Lowder, 93, of Hopewell, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018. Born in Spooner, WI she was the daughter of the late Frank H. Quipp and Mona Hathaway Quipp. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, William H. Grizzard, II; late husband, Burk Lowder; son, William H. Grizzard, III.; and 9 siblings. She is survived by her sons, Chester L. Grizzard, Sr. (Barbara) and Sidney A. Grizzard (Ann); grandchildren, Jimmy Grizzard (Gina), Patricia Seckora (Ron), Johnny Grizzard (Michelle), Chester L. Grizzard, Jr., Jeffrey A. Grizzard (Theresa), Christina R. Danaher (Shawn), Benjamin P. Grizzard, Crystal B. Eicaher (Kyle), Brook L. Miles (Roger), and Sidney A. Grizzard, II; sister, Genevieve Quipp Smithers; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Also, surviving are her step-children, Danny Lowder (Cathy), Debbie Voros, Christopher Lowder, Jason Lowder, Lindsay Krieger, and David Voros; step-grandchildren, Chuck Turner (Sherrie), and Cory Turner (Tiffany); and numerous step-great-grandchildren. Ione was employed as a Clerk with the City of Petersburg retiring after many years of service. She loved to crochet and sing. Ione will be missed by many. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
