Iris Antionette Smith

Iris Antionette Smith, 71, of Hopewell, VA passed Wednesday, November 29, 2017. Born in Thomaston, GA she was the daughter of the late George Harrison and Melba Turner; and was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Daniel Krenson, Sr.; and her second husband, Wesley C. Smith, Jr. Mrs. Smith was a United States Army veteran and had retired from Fort Lee as a programmer after 15 years of service. She was a founding member of the Tri-Cities Intertribal Association and was a member of the Ladies of the Moose. She is survived by her son, William D. Krenson, Jr.; a daughter, Jessi Guay and husband, Adam; and a sister, Illean Bullock and husband, Butch. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 4, 2017 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends following the service until 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Hope Rescue, P.O.
