Irving Lunsford

Irving Claiborne Lunsford, Jr, 87, of Dinwiddie died Saturday, July 09, 2011. He was a World War II Army Veteran serving with the 86th Black Hawk Division of the 342nd Infantry. He was a lifelong member of St. Paulâ??s Episcopal Church in Petersburg. Mr. Lunsford was preceded in death by his wife Frances Jean Castleberry Lunsford, his mother Kathleen Ribble Lunsford and his father Irving Claiborne Lunsford, Sr. He is survived by his son Irving C. Lunsford, III and wife Sharon of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; daughter Barbara Lunsford Groves of Fort Worth, TX; sister Kathleen Dunne of Warrenton, VA; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 12th, at Blandford Cemetery.
