Charles Logan â??Chuckâ? McCoull, IV, 88, of Colonial Heights passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents Charles L. McCoull, III and Carolyn Coates McCoull; wife, Jacquelynne C. McCoull and brother Gibson Coates McCoull. He is survived by his children, Renee McCoull, Charles L. â??Chipâ? McCoull, V and wife, Janice, and Joseph Thomas Mentzer, Jr.; grandchildren, Chad McCoull, Ryan McCoull, T. Channing Mentzer and Christopher S. Mentzer and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth H. Callahan. Following his graduation from Granby High School, Mr. McCoull served in World War II with fighter squadron VMTB-134 of the United States Marine Corps. After the war he followed his love of theatre and appeared in numerous productions including many at Swift Creek Mill Playhouse where he worked for over 30 years. Mr. McCoull was a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild as well. He was a retired teacher with Dinwiddie County Schools and a member of St. Michaelsâ?? Episcopal Church where he loved singing in the church choir. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 8, 2010 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Petersburg chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, August 9, 2010 at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Blandford Cemetery.
