Ivan Allen Moore Sr

Ivan Allen Moore, Sr., 85, of Hopewell, VA passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021. Born in McAdenville, NC he was the son of the late Palmer E. and Cora Millon Moore; and was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol A. Moore. Mr. Moore retired from Allied Signal as a Maintenance Supervisor after 37 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Powers Memorial Baptist Church, and had also been a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Hopewell for over 50 years. Mr. Moore was a member and Past-President of the Gideons. He is survived by his four sons, Ivan A. Moore, Jr. and wife, Susan, Randy D. Moore and wife, Erin, D. Robin Moore and wife, Elaine, and Dr. Kevin D. Moore and wife, Jennifer; his grandchildren, Dale Moore and wife, Tarrah, Michelle Washburn and husband, Will, Nicolette Moore, Lindsey Eubanks, Mackenzie Lacheney and husband, Kyle, Landon Ross and wife, Aubrey, Michael Moore and wife, Makenna, Hannah Houston and husband, Matt, Rebecca Condrey and husband Sean, Jonathan Moore and wife Olivia, Sarah Moore, Timothy Moore, Rachel Moore, Lydia Moore and Abigail Moore; great-grandchildren, Justyce, JT, Slater, Naomi, Gracie, Fox, Story, Scout, Lillie and Emma Rose; his devoted friend, Wanda Comer; a nephew, Lonnie Shumate and wife, Teresa; and a niece, Karen Oengland and husband, Ralph. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Powers Memorial Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Roger Crump, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the church. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
