Ivea J. Logan

Ivea â??Dotâ? Jones Logan, of Elberon, died on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at her residence in the presence of family and friends. She was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Bertha L. Jones. She was predeceased by her husband, B.W. â??Peteâ? Logan; son, Michael W. Logan and sister, Lucille Crocker.
She was a homemaker who loved gardening. She was previously employed as a cafeteria worker during the years that her children attended Surry County Schools. She was also a member of Surry Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa L. Austin (Roy) of Windsor and Connie L. McCray (Mike) of Prince George; two sons, Herbert L. Logan of Chester and Phillip D. Logan (Rebecca) of Moyock, NC; six grandchildren, Lauren Hoaglund, Christopher Austin, Patrick Logan, Johnathan Jackson, Tyler Logan and Cody Logan; three brothers, Robert E. Jones, Milway Jones, and L. Wayne Jones; six sisters, Sue Poe, Nancy Cook, Curly Beale, Jo Helmstetter, Faye Drewery and Phyllis Bick and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends tonight, Tuesday February 8, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM at the Purviance Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Wakefield. A graveside service will be held at Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Surry on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Charles W. Jones officiating.
