Ivel Harris

Ivel Mavis Harris, 87, of Chester, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011. Mrs. Harris was a retired lab technician for Allied Chemical after thirty-three years. She was an avid quilter and she enjoyed bowling. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Laura Mullins; her first husband, Cecil Rakes; and her second husband, James Harris. She is survived by her son, Ronnie Rakes and his wife Connie; a daughter, Brenda R. Price and her husband Eric; grandchildren, April Ripchick and her husband Jason, Rebecca Leipold and her husband Steve, Shawn Price and his wife Tracy, and Ian Price and his wife Holly; great grandchildren, C.J. Price, Abbie Kimsey, Erica Ripchick, and Perri Leipold; a brother, Robert Mullins and his wife Ann; a sister, Lucille Mounts; a dear friend for over forty years and caregiver, Doris Jackson; and a special friend, Dean McNew. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Hopewell chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Homes. A funeral service, with the Rev. Lauren â??Macâ? Million officiating, will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Hopewell chapel of J.T.
