Jack Thomasson

Jack Wade Thomasson, 67, of Hopewell, died Monday, July 11, 2005 at John Randolph Medical Center. Mr. Thomasson made his home in Hopewell for most of his life.
He was a retired U. S. Army Lt. Colonel having served in Vietnam, a member of the Dupont Lodge #289 AF&AM, the Hopewell Rotary Club. He also served on the Electoral Board, the Board of Directors of the Hopewell Emergency Crew, and was a self-employed accountant.
He was the son of the late James Grady Thomasson. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jean James Thomasson, a daughter Mary Catherine Shirah of Charlotte, NC, his mother, Lena Tew Thomasson of Hopewell, a sister, Eleanor ?Kitty? T. Enneking of Hopewell, and two nieces, Denise E. Saunders of Virginia Beach, and Susan Enneking of Colonial Heights.A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service with the Rev. Matt Straw, Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.
