Jack Walker

Jack Herbert Walker, age 70, of Carson, VA, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011. He was the son of the late John and Delia Thomas Walker. Mr. Walker was a member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church, Carson, VA. He dedicated 15 years to Central State Steam Plant and was an accomplished carpenter and mechanic, who could fix just about anything with his hands. Mr. Walker is survived by his son, Jack L. Walker and his girlfriend, Tiffany A. Walton; grandson, Austin L. Walker; brothers, Henry E. Walker and his wife, Elizabeth, and Emmett R. Walker; a step-daughter, Evelyn Tway; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. A graveside funeral service will follow on Friday, March 11, at 11 a.m. in the Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery, Carson.
