Jackie Wayne Ellis Sr

Jackie Wayne Ellis, Sr., 71, Hopewell, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Ellis and Mary Weaver Ellis; sister, Barbara (Teenie) Ellis Holbert; brother, Jerry Ellis; and brother-in-law, Tom Steward. He is survived by his wife, Patricia D. Ellis; children, Jackie Wayne Ellis, Jr. (Jay) and Amy Katherine Ellis; siblings, John T. Ellis, Janet E. Hartsell (Paul), Mary Libba Owens (Frank), Robert Ellis Jr. (Rita), Ronnie Ellis, Judy E. Steward, Becky Ellis, and Carolyn E. Johnson (Michael); two grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Jackie was employed at Honeywell, retiring after 37 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed, spending time on the river or at the beach. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and rooting for the Lakers.
