Jacob Ryan Steines

Jacob Ryan Steines, 26 of Chester, Va. Passed away July 13, 2019. He was preceded in death by his Papa Elward Jones and his Grandmother Sheilia “Bunnies” Jones. Also his good friend Stan “WR” Vorozhkov. He is survived by his mother Angie Steines; father Jamie Steines (Paige); sister Hannah; brother Ethan; Grandparents Butch “Grandpa” Steines, Pam “Granny” Schmelzer; fur baby Nala; and fur brother Jupey; aunts Suzy “Auntie” Johnson (Howard), Kiki “Auntie” Christa Jones, and Crystal “Auntie” Steines (Roberto); uncles Jared Jones (Jaime-Girl) and Justin Jones (Lina); close cousins Andrew Ullom, Marley Johnson (Matt), Daniel Johnson, Natalie Jones, Olivia Jones, Benjamin Jones, Matthew Perry, Madison Perry, Conrad Jones, Chad Hulsey, and Karissa Riley Regalado,Brandi, Johnathan and Sarah Jane; so many more relatives in the states of West Virginia and Iowa, the list would never end, but honorary mention to his aunt Charlotte Johnson; cousin Ben Johnson; Virginia and Gerald Pomeroy in W.V.; special cousin Jordan; Tracie and Jody; dearest lifelong friends Michael Walta, Josh Walta, Josh Baca, Tyler Bowling, Tyler Porter, Brendan Harris, James White, Murphy Allen, Rachel “Momma” Doss, Chong; and so many, many more friends to impossible to list. Jacob was always the adventurer. He wanted to see how high up he could climb, how far he could jump, or how fast he could run. He loved being outside. He has been described as a “New-Old Hippie.” He was friend to all, loving and generous. He also played football growing up and was part of Thomas Dale High School’s State Champion football team in 2009. He loved to devour cookies and cream ice cream and cheesecake. The family will receive friends and family from 10:00 am-11:30 am at Ivey Memorial United Methodist on Saturday, July 20th. A funeral service will held directly after at 11:30 am.
