Jacqueline "Jac" Hardy Rives

Jacqueline “Jac” Hardy Rives, 95, of McKenney, left to fly with the angels on Monday, June 11, 2018. She was born October 3, 1922, the daughter of the late Margaret Harrison Hardy and Spencer Graham Hardy of McKenney. She was preceded in death by her husband, P.F. “Bitsy” Rives; and her siblings, Marjorie H. Elmore, Graham Hardy and Dr. Ann MacDonald. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Gray “Gigi” Krapels of Durham, NC and Ann Ferguson “Roonie” Rives of Virginia Beach; and 8 grandcats. Mrs. Rives was a graduate of Longwood College, an avid reader and bridge player, and enjoyed watching golf and other sports on television, muted, of course, to silence the sportscasters. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 14 at Asbury Memorial Cemetery, 20600 Boydton Plank Road, McKenney, VA 23872.
