Jacqueline "Jackie" Hodge Gibbs

Jaqueline (Jackie) Hodge Gibbs of Prince George, VA., passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, November 26, 2018.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Janet N. and Leonard N. Hodge; loving husband, Andy Gibbs; brother, Michael Hodge and in laws Gertrude and Troy Gibbs.
Jackie graduated from Hopewell High School and attended Radford College for a period. However, her love for her “soon to be husband, brought her back to Hopewell”, where she and her true love married. Jackie worked for Allied Signal/Chemical for 20 years, where she retired.
Jackie was a faithful servant of God, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her love for family, friends and community was most apparent, for she left a sparkle where ever she went.
Jackie attended First Baptist Church and served on many committees, a member of the Prince George Women’s Club and Hopewell Opti-Mrs. Club. Jackie loved to decorate, host parties, cook, sit on the beach, read and spread the happiness. Her strength, faith kind heart and loving hands will forever be cherished by her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Parr and husband, Kevin Parr; son, Michael Gibbs and fiancé, Tiffany Williams; grandchildren, Amanda Jabri and husband, Yousef Jabri, Tyler Adair and fiancé, Sydney Chappell, Michael Gibbs, Jr., Addison, Jonathan and great-granddaughter, Olivia Jabri.
The family will receive friends, 6:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2018 at First Baptist Church, 401 N. 2nd Ave., Hopewell, VA., where a service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 30, 2018 with the Reverend Darrell Boggs officiating. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens.
