James W. Belch

James W. Belch, 76, of Virginia, (formerly of Maryland and Delaware), passed away on April 9, 2017. Born in Cordova, NC, he was the son of the late George J. Belch and Hilda J. Belch Barrett. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Eugene, his sister, June M. Roles, and his wife, Virginia “Jenny” L. Bland Belch. Jim proudly served in the United States Army and National Guard. He was employed with Whitman, Requardt & Associates for 39 years as a construction site inspector. He is survived by two brothers, George T. "Tommy" and Richard, and his daughters, Tracey V. Manuel and Jessica E. Curtis. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017 in Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell, VA.
