James Richard Belcher

James "Jimmy" Richard Belcher, 35, of Hopewell, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Belcher. Jimmy is survived by his mother, Carol Belcher; his two children, Brynlee and Alana; sisters, Amy Jarvis (Chad) and Kristen Grubb (Kyle); brother, Jared Belcher (Crystal); and several nieces and nephews. He was a 2005 graduate of Hopewell High, and graduated from The Apprentice School at Newport News Shipbuilding as an Electrician. He was most recently employed by Sigma. Jimmy was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 8, 2023, at West Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 2600 Wise Street, Hopewell, VA from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11 a.m., on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at West Hopewell Presbyterian Church.
