James Burke

James Joseph Burke, 93, of Hopewell, VA passed away on February 25, 2012. James served 22 years in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Olive Joan Burke; and daughter, Joanne Marie Rushton. Mr. Burke is survived by his daughter, Patricia Anne Limrick and husband Dennis; son, Timothy James Burke; step-daughters, Carol Watkins, Sandy Selle, Carla Hoffman-Sweet; step-son, Richard Kowalsky; sister, Eleanor Shields; brother, Eugene Burke; sister, Mary Spall; grandchildren, Christopher D. Mueller (Candace), Kerri L. Elder (Jeffrey), Denise B. Murray (Wade), Derek Rushton (Myra), Stephen Rushton, Troy Rushton, Jennifer Ruiz, Christy Jordan, Nicole Burke, Amy Burke; great-grandchildren Daniel and Matthew Mueller, Kemper and Ryder Elder, Luke and Alex Rushton, Christian Ruiz, Isiah, Ezra, and Elijah Jordon, Etni and Maliyha Burke, Daniel Morley; and numerous step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at 9:00 am on Thursday March 1, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (9300 Community Lane Petersburg, VA 23805).
