James Leroy Carter

James Leroy Carter, 54, of Dinwiddie, VA, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, James Carter; as well as his grandmother, Gladys Vaughn. He is survived by his two sons, Brandon L. Carter and James A. Carter; mother, Betty Vogel; brother, Clyde P. Bridges and his wife Deanna; as well as two nieces, Mary K. Snow and Tabitha L. Snow. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and he loved playing darts. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 9, 2017. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Special Olympics of Virginia, P.O.
